Sustainable living was the main motivating force for moving to a run down old homestead in Rural north western Bulgaria, nestled in a valley on the banks of the Rositsa river. This section is going to contain all that is about life on the homestead. Get involved, pay a visit, doors open, teas brewing!
About Us
Home sweet home
The Homestead, nestled in the Veliko Tarnovo region of Bulgaria, in the Sunhindol wine district. There's still much work to do, and were still rough around the edges and in-between too, lol! BUT its heaven all the same, idyllic, peaceful and above all else a truly wonderful place to call home.
The mighty Rositsa river
It is a blessing indeed, to be right on the beautiful Rositsa river, wild swimming, Kayaking, fishing and of course simple picnic in the lazy summer evenings.

If your staying here at the Riverhouse one thing you can be guaranteed of is Home grown home cooked and preserved produce from our extensive vegetable garden. We grow a wide range of fruits and vegetables, and of course many herbs and spices along with many medicinal herbs and fungi.
